Joan

test

It’s my personal believe that style is something that runs in the family. It probably has to do with education. If you are around parents or siblings that pay a lot of attention to detail and aesthetics you probably have a greater possibility of sharing that interest. Anyway: one of the greatest things is to have a sibling that shares the same interests as you. This is the case of Joan, little sister of Gladys. Just like Gladys she has a very interesting personal style and is extremely creative. She is actually a vital part of Gladys’ blog since Joan is the one behind the camera. And if you see her work, you can tell she is already very talented for someone who’s only 16 years old. We can’t wait to see how she will evolve in the future!

Angelique Foré

test

Belmodo is a Belgian pioneer on everything that’s happening online. The lifestyle newssite already exists over 5 years now and has just taken a huge step forward by closing a deal with Borgerhoff & Lamberigts (B&L). So it’s about time we introduced you to Angelique, partner of Belmodo but most of all a very cool chick. The outfit she is wearing here is a mix of statement pieces. That’s why we decided to photograph her on the empty catwalk after the KASK fashion show. The electric blue perforated skirt is a true eyecatcher, but you have to choose your underwear wisely. “My pink fluo panties was one step too far.” she jokes. Angelique loves combining high end labels with cheaper pieces. “No matter what day or occasion it is, I notice that I’m always wearing something from H&M.” And indeed, her clutch is from the conscious collection!

Clutch: H&M Conscious

Shoes: Dries Van Noten

Evy Gruyaert

test

We ran into Evy Gruyaert on a cozy Saturday afternoon. Our favorite TV-presenter was enjoying a day of shopping with her family. ‘Ghent is a very cozy mini-city with great boutiques, where I love to shop.’ Evy in real-life is at least as charming as Evy on TV and obviously dresses a bit more daring. ‘I love fashion and mixing different brands and styles. I absolutely try not to be a trendslave’. Her look is very inspiring and is perfect for this soft winter we have been experiencing in Belgium. The maxi-skirt and biker jacket combo becomes winter proof by adding a pair of stockings and a huge scarf. The perfect weekend look!

Jorrit

test

Jorrit from Antwerp loves minimalism and is the perfect example that minimalism doesn’t have to be boring. On top of that, he also demonstrates that men’s fashion doesn’t have to be boring. His outfit is a modern interpretation of the military look. The boots from A.F. Vandevorst fit perfectly with the camel coat from Margiela for H&M. Jorrit lives in Antwerp, but thinks very internationally. He loves to visit other cities like Brussels, Berlin or Paris where he can meet a lot of new people. He draws inspiration from people around him and streetstyleblogs are a part of this. Always fun to hear!

Barbara

test

Plenty of you cast your vote in our Minimum competition, but it is time to share one of our favorite looks with you. It was one of the less popular, namely Barbara. I adore a casual and comfortable style on a woman, but find it a real challenge not to be overdressed or underdressed. Barbara nails it in this outfit. A pair of white sneakers, a worn out jeans (her pair is over 10 years old) and a beautiful, comfy knit. No bag, no coat, no jewelry, all very pure. A comfortable look like this is typical for Barbara’s style. She looks for elegant en comfortable pieces and mostly in dark colors. She doesn’t have to search for inspiration. Her sister is always aware of all the trends en is her biggest source of inspiration. Barbara adores the new vintage shop Marmod and loves to get a coffee at Ycono and that’s exactly what we are craving right now, looking at these photos. Admit it, this is the perfect look for getting coffee on a Saturday, right?
