The time has come that our city is flooded by visitors from all over the globe to celebrate “De Gentse Feesten”. We cannot wait to streetstyle these party animals and of course enjoy some partying ourselves. We already shared some of our favorite spots in Ghent that will be perfect in case you want to escape the busy streets for a moment in this infographic. This makes us curious, do you guys have some hidden gems we simply must visit during de Gentse Feesten?
To our great surprise we ran into Minju Kim at the fashion show of the KASK. You may recognize her as the winner of the H&M Design award 2013. She got the opportunity to design her own collection for H&M. It turned into a great success. The collection was sold out in a few moments. Minju studied at the Fashion Academy of Antwerp, but is originally from South Korea. She is one of those designers whose personal style is a clear reflection of her designs. She is wearing shoes of her own design and a top by a local Korean designer. Let’s stop for a second to focus on het beautiful plexi Delvaux bag. I’m jealous already! Belgian designer Eddy Anemian, a 24-year old student at La Cambre, won this year’s H&M Design award. We can’t wait for his collection to hit stores!

Menswear is without a doubt more challenging than womenswear. The options are a lot more limited and this in all price segments. Therefore Sander gives a good example of a perfect look for a hot summer day. The printed denim shirt gives a modern twist to the classic denim on denim look. In combination with the white canvas sneakers and the statement glasses, this look really comes together. Sander works at the communications agency Gents and loves to get creative in his free time. Interior DIY’s are one of his favorite hobbies. You can read all about it on his Tumblr page. He also has a huge passion for tattoos. He already got three and is planning to get even more. We are curious to know what you think about tattoos? Hot or not? Or a more important question: timeless or just a temporary trend?

Belmodo is a Belgian pioneer on everything that’s happening online. The lifestyle newssite already exists over 5 years now and has just taken a huge step forward by closing a deal with Borgerhoff & Lamberigts (B&L). So it’s about time we introduced you to Angelique, partner of Belmodo but most of all a very cool chick. The outfit she is wearing here is a mix of statement pieces. That’s why we decided to photograph her on the empty catwalk after the KASK fashion show. The electric blue perforated skirt is a true eyecatcher, but you have to choose your underwear wisely. “My pink fluo panties was one step too far.” she jokes. Angelique loves combining high end labels with cheaper pieces. “No matter what day or occasion it is, I notice that I’m always wearing something from H&M.” And indeed, her clutch is from the conscious collection!

Have you ever wondered what a stylist wears in her daily life? Here you have a perfect example! Sarah Roelstraete is freelance stylist for multiple Belgian magazines. As a stylist she loves to have fun with fashion and is not afraid to play around with different styles. The outfit she is wearing here is clearly ‘vintage inspired’. The beautiful dress is from the Vika Gazinskaya for & Other Stories collection, which has turned to be a big hit filled with must-have pieces. We ran into Sarah at the fashion show of the students of the KASK art-school. This year the show took place in the Eskimofabriek and we truly enjoyed every moment of it. Another big thank-you to Thijs and Tamara from Turbulence for the amazing evening!
